Elisabeth Bauerly, Pfizer, Inc.

"I am delighted for the opportunity to express my interest in attending the WCBP 2025 conference and applying for the Emerging Leader in the Advancement of Scientific Knowledge Award. As an academic transitioning into industry, attending WCBP 2025 will expose me to cutting-edge research, technological advancements, and regulatory updates. Attending sessions focused on transformative solutions will aid in my understanding of the current landscape of the industry, the regulatory requirements, and the emerging technologies that are shaping the future of biopharmaceuticals. The experience gained through engaging in these discussions with these accomplished professionals will undoubtedly contribute to my professional journey."

Oliver Sonne Buch, Novo Nordisk A/S

"As a graduate student pursuing an MSc in Pharmaceutical Design and Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark and working in Regulatory Affairs CMC and Device at Novo Nordisk. WCBP is considered a world leader in bringing together industry and regulators together to provide scientific solutions to regulatory challenges, and participating in the WCBP would greatly benefit my academic and professional growth by allowing me to engage with industry experts and regulatory authorities at the conference. This experience would provide me with valuable insights that I can apply to my regulatory sciences research at Novo Nordisk as well as expand my network within the biotherapeutics industry."

Sisi Huang, Pfizer, Inc.

"I started my career in Oct. 2021 as a senior scientist in Pfizer, Inc. I participated in the methods development using HPLC, LC-MS, and imaged capillary electrophoresis for mAbs, gene therapy, vaccines, etc. By attending the symposiums and networking with the excellent scientists, my vision was broadened. The discussions at the conference helped me develop new ideas and keep my research topic up with the state of art technologies. I understand how important for researchers to attend conferences and showcasing their work, so I have been attending conferences and contributing to organizing conferences as much as I could. This award will provide a great opportunity to enrich my experience in organizing conferences and symposiums that can facilitate the growth of CMC analytical technologies. I hope someday in the future I can organize conferences to help more early career scientists the way CASSS WCBP helps me today."

Meet these emerging leaders this January in Washington D.C. at WCBP 2025.
