we recognize National Mental Health Awareness month – established by Mental Health America (MHA) in 1949 - and its mission to spread the word about mental health and mental health conditions.
Back to Basics
In alignment with this year’s theme of “Back to Basics”, MHA is seeking to address the feelings of stress, isolation, and uncertainty that have taken a toll on our well-being throughout the past two years of pandemic living. MHA provides a series of educational resources including a toolkit for addressing mental health concerns.
Stress Management
The World Health Organization, which mobilizes efforts in support of mental health around the globe - has developed an illustrated stress management guide that offers practical skills for coping with stress and adversity. This guide can be used with the accompanying audio exercises as part of your daily self-care routine.
Ways to Improve Employee Mental Health
According to the American Psychiatric Association's 2022 Stress in America poll, 63% of adults said their life has been forever changed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Research shows that some of the important factors to consider in the workplace include: respect work-life harmony, provide resources and trainings, and ask for staff input on policies.
