CASSS is pleased to introduce Lauren Massagli as the new Meetings Coordinator. As a Meeting Coordinator, Lauren plays a pivotal role in our programs such as managing the abstract database, volunteer coordination, and managing roundtable logistics.
Lauren graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt with a BS in biochemistry. She joined CASSS in May and brings her dynamic experience in project coordination with an academic foundation in biochemistry. With her diverse skillset and passion for science, Lauren is already making a great impact on our team.
CASSS’ mission and values inspired Lauren to join the team. One of her favorite aspects about the CASSS community is the opportunity to work with highly motivated and enthusiastic volunteers. Lauren said, “I’ve been very impressed with the volunteers’ creativity and innovation – that's what makes CASSS’ programs highly successful.”
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys relaxing and creative hobbies such as painting, cooking, and trying out new skincare products. Creative endeavors have been a lifetime passion for her by offering a therapeutic way to unwind. She enjoys cooking dishes that emphasize fresh seafood and in-season vegetables.
