CASSS is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of what we do. As part of this commitment, we seek to call attention to global initiatives that advance the direction of dignity, respect, and the betterment of humanity.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month is currently celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. Each year millions of people gather around the world to march with Pride and celebrate LGBTQ activism and culture.
CASSS is proud to partner with organizations that actively prioritize corporate policies and practices pertinent to the global LGBTQ community including:
- Roche’s “Open and Proud” series gives a voice to LGBTQ employees and allies by highlighting personal stories of pride, perseverance, and hope.
- Amgen has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation as the “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”
- Globally, AstraZeneca seeks to empower their LGBTQ employees to show up as their full selves each day by recognizing Pride month year-round.
- Eli Lilly has established global LGBTQ ally and reverse mentoring programs as key initiatives in their commitment to diversity and inclusion as it relates to their Lilly Pride employee resource group.
Throughout June, continue to check CASSS Community News and our LinkedIn Group for additional resources that highlight the spirit of Pride month.
