Q. What was your motivation to volunteer with CASSS?
CASSS provides a unique platform to bring professionals together from industry, academia, and regulatory agencies to solve regulatory challenges with good science and technologies. CASSS also facilitates knowledge sharing to advance the development of biopharmaceuticals for our patients. I would like to see continued success of CASSS and be part of the process to achieve the objectives.
Q. What do you do to relax? Do you have any hobbies?
I play golf for relaxation and love traveling to see the world.
Q. What's your favorite type of food or special dish you cook? Why?
I enjoy cooking BBQ for my family and friends. It creates a relaxing atmosphere for group gathering. My favorite dish is a nice medium-rare ribeye steak with vegetables.
Q. What is your favorite movie, tv show, music or book?
“Don’t Look Up” and “Squid Game” are my recent favorite movie and tv show. I like classical music. I am reading "Think Again" from Adam Grant, which is “a must-read for anyone who wants to create a culture of learning and exploration…” quoted from Bill and Melinda Gates.
Q. What’s your favorite travel experience?
My trip to Switzerland with my wife in 2019 before the pandemic started. Switzerland is a beautiful country, and it is very convenient to travel within by using public transportation.
Q. What would people be surprised to know about you?
No surprise; a family man dedicated to his family and work.
Q. How did you get inspired to go into science/biotech/pharma industry?
My father is a pharmacist, who clearly had inference in my education and interest in pharma industry. I like science in general and always want to contribute to public health.
Q. If you did anything other than your current occupation, what would it be?
Most likely a medical doctor.
